William D. LaRue, married father of two, is an award-winning journalist, a former reporter and copy editor for The Post-Standard in Syracuse, N.Y., and a retired website producer for Advance Digital. He has authored three published books, including his late father's 2015 memoir, "CANDY: True Tales of a 1st Cavalry Soldier in the Korean War and Occupied Japan," and the 2018 memoir "Captain Puckett: Sea Stories of a former Panama Canal Pilot," co-written with Kenneth P. Puckett. Bill is currently writing his first true-crime book. He lives in a suburb of Syracuse with his wife, Kathy.
